Asian Heritage Month
During Asian Heritage Month, we encourage you to share a Canadian film with your students that feature stories and issues focused on people of Asian heritage and cultures. Here are a few suggestions:



National Indigenous History Month
Take advantage of this month-long opportunity to reflect upon the history, heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people. And, if you’re looking for a specific day on which to focus your screening or activities, June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Here are a few film suggestions: 


LGBTQ+ Pride
June is also the month when we are encouraged to reflect on the history and experiences of LGBTQ+ people, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. Here are some titles we recommend:
