A: If you are an educator, and would like to bring REEL CANADA to your school, please contact please contact our Production Team at [email protected] or call us at 416.642.5796.
We’ll need to ask you some questions about the size and scope of event you would like to host, and then we can start planning.
A: REEL CANADA is a national initiative of members of the film and television industry in Toronto, designed to bring Canadian films into Canadian classrooms. Though we are funded by several branches of government, we are an independent, not-for-profit organization. For a complete list of our sponsors, click here.
REEL CANADA is a registered charity, and we can issue tax receipts for all donations. For more information about how to donate to REEL CANADA, click here.
A: You can get some of the films from our catalogue through us, and we would be happy to help you find the rest. Please send your request to [email protected] and we will do our best to help you find the films you’re looking for.
A: So far, REEL CANADA festivals have only been aimed towards high schools and English language learners, but we are always open to expanding our reach and introducing more people to the wide variety of great Canadian Films. Please contact us with your specific request or question and we will be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.
A: You may send two DVD copies of your film to the address listed on our Contact Us page, and we will give it to our programming team for their consideration. Our programming process takes place annually in the fall, and we rigorously test screen all potential films with high school audiences. If your film is approved by our Artistic Director and also selected by our student screeners, it will be added to the REEL CANADA catalogue for the following school year, and you will be notified. This process takes a while, so please be patient.
