Our Films in Our Schools
Our Films in Our Schools is REEL CANADA’s founding program, in which we help teachers and students across Canada organize festivals of Canadian film in their schools, and integrate Canadian film into the classroom. It began in 2005 as a pilot program in 6 Toronto-area schools. Now in its 13th season, REEL CANADA’s high school program has held over 2,000 screenings and reached 900,000 students. If you’re a teacher, we can help you put on a festival of Canadian film of any size or scope – from a single class to an entire school. If you’d like to arrange a screening, please take a look at the REEL CANADA Films section and see the wealth of Canadian films we offer. Check them out, then write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get started. We also offer lesson plans, games, quizzes and other resources to assist teachers in bringing this exciting part of our culture to their students. Please visit the For Teachers section to access lesson plans for grades 9 to 12 in a variety of subject areas. Or write to email@example.com.
